I have bet sports off and on for about 3 years now. I have never really made a ton of money, but I haven't really lost a bunch either.....My betting account is minimal, as the majority of my extra money goes to investments and savings, rather then gambling, which is probably a good idea in my mind - if I were to find a consistent way to make money with my small bankroll I would add more to it and hope for the best. If I could average around 10% per month and compound that, there would be potential for long-term profit and big income (the dream of all degenerate gamblers isn't it?). Anyways, that's why I do it, I think if I lost my entire bankroll today I wouldn't re-up, but that's just me, I look at it as a way to add something to watching football on a Sunday.
On a side note, I played poker last night online - came in 4th in a 76 person $2 rebuy tournament, won a whopping total of $41 - nice.
Also, I got Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii, I have to say for a game made for 10-year olds I find it both highly addictive and fun.

On fitness #2
Coming out of school about 5 years ago, I had put on approximately 60 lbs. of beer, chicken wings and general laziness. I was wearing size 38 jeans, XL shirts and could basically not do anything. I played in a beer-league hockey tournament and the physical shock of exercise made me ill. I got incredibly sick and could barely walk for a week. Talk about a wake-up call.
I waited 3 months to do anything about my general unhealthiness (not sure if that's a word, but whatever). I joined the YMCA and promptly went there and stood around looking at all the machines and weights and wondering what I should do to get into better shape. As you'll notice with most things, I tend to find solutions by reading books, lots and lots of books. I think the book that influenced me the most was Arnold Schwartznegar's Body building bible. I would recommend this to anyone getting started in weight lifting or general fitness, not the programs themselves, but the exercises where form is emphasized, reps are explained, and a groundwork is set out.
It took me a solid year of working out probably 4-5 days a week and basically watching everything i ate (more on that in another post) before I broke the 200 lb mark (down 30 lbs). Everything seems to get easier when you get in a routine, and contrary to what I have read some people say the last 20 lbs were much easier to lose then the first 40 - I was able to build muscle more easily, knew what I should be eating more or less of and generally felt more comfortable with the decisions I was making on a daily basis.

Hello,
There are a few things that I'd like to write about here, things that I'm interested in and would like to talk about, whether or not someone is listening or not, I guess I'll find out eventually.
The first thing is sports betting. This is something that I enjoy and I am always trying out new "systems" to make my elusive fortune by betting - The only thing I have found that works is to not bet on the wrong team.
The second topic I will talk about is fitness and my goals in this area.
The final topic is investing and my longterm goal to retire by age 45....This is what I'll be talking about in the future.
As a bio, I am male, 28 and live in Ontario, Canada. I'm getting married in 4 months, no kids and no kids in the future.
