I have bet sports off and on for about 3 years now. I have never really made a ton of money, but I haven't really lost a bunch either.....My betting account is minimal, as the majority of my extra money goes to investments and savings, rather then gambling, which is probably a good idea in my mind - if I were to find a consistent way to make money with my small bankroll I would add more to it and hope for the best. If I could average around 10% per month and compound that, there would be potential for long-term profit and big income (the dream of all degenerate gamblers isn't it?). Anyways, that's why I do it, I think if I lost my entire bankroll today I wouldn't re-up, but that's just me, I look at it as a way to add something to watching football on a Sunday.
On a side note, I played poker last night online - came in 4th in a 76 person $2 rebuy tournament, won a whopping total of $41 - nice.
Also, I got Animal Crossing: City Folk for the Wii, I have to say for a game made for 10-year olds I find it both highly addictive and fun.
